Its a friday yet again. And yes I am home and I hve free time to sit n blog. Hubby was at work monday and tuesday. Hard at work. We quarreled a bit as he has been home later than usual the two nights due to bad time management and silly idiots who demand meet ups in the middle of the nite not considering the fact tat others have families. Things are much better now as the rest of the week was reserved for us as it was his off peak period. We were of to the airport on wednesday as Edwin was flying off to Japan for studies. We left much earlier with Kayla although We were supp to be in the airport at nite. Reb came to pick us as hubby was not driving. All cars have been de reg and there were none available for personal usage, it was ok as we still had our mode of transport. Reb - Free Ride in A Merz. Honestly, the ride was comfy but the car was so long n wide. To me its just too bulky. I have learnt over the past few mths to be very commentive about vehicles. Its hubby's career rubbing off on me. Heehee.

The schedule was tight for wednesday, I had to go to the salon, grandma in law house. I finally caught my breath at Buangkok. After a nice home cooked dinner, hubby and I decided to take the Merz for a ride. We went Compass Point to do some shopping before heading over to the Airport. Managed to get 4 tops and 2 tights in the short span of time. I also managed to grab my fav milk shake. We headed to the airport when we got back. Grandma was in such a hurry to see Edwin. Edwin is going away for 4 years and i doubt he wil be coming back much. So cute to see Ah ma rushing everyone to the airport.

Thursday was slightly more relaxed, we woke up to rainy weather, we decided to go pick up the note book and pda from Avon park and spend some time with each other. Baby was home with grandma. After picking up needful, we headed to east coast for late lunch. We ate one of my express all time favourites at Mac and I ordered from Mcafe as well. I love their Himalayan Frappe, delicious. That was some quality time spent together.

Friday which is supposed to be origins day why because there is a 20% sale at Metro, i wanted to get the facial wash, balancing tonic, eye make up remover and lotion since there is a sale and double stamp promo. Looks like i m giving it a miss since i feel so lazy to go any where. Quite silent at home. Baby is sound asleep. She sould be awake anytime soon. And I'll just wait for the next sale so that i can get my skincare products. :< Looking forward to the weekend. Busy day again tomorrow.

This is quite a late entry as I have not been able to find time to update. Been quite busy with Kayla's 1st Mth Showers. All the vouchers are out now and the actual cakes have been given to Ah Ma. All the prayers are also over and its quite a relief.

Today is a rainy day but its family day. Kel is home today and we thought of doing some shopping at Tamp Mall. Wanted to go the pet shop to get some dog goodies for Grand Aunt, she is such a dear. And I need to get my shampoo and some Avent Bottles for Kayla. Avent bottles are really good as they prevent Colic and the nipples is in the shape of out Human Breast. Just waiting for the rain to get smaller. Kayla just had her feed so she is all quiet lying with daddy at the moment.

I watching this movie on HBO yeterday and I didnt have a clue what the movie title was but the morale of story was this tennage girl planning the murder of her parents, of course she did not kill them herself. She had a dummy who was head over heals with her, as such she managed to get the fella to kill for her with the detailed plan. Its so scary how the human mind works. I mean who would kill their own parents. And why did she do it because her parents did not allow her to be with her Boyfriend. So she decided to kill them so that she could live happily ever after in the very house that her parents were killed. At the end of the day, the hands of justice is always long as she got caught and her boyfriend aided in the process of her being caught. Such Irony! Personally I would never do such things no matter how much I hated my own parents. I think its cold blooded murder.

Alright enuff said, its time to go now. The rain is much smaller and what the heck I am like driving from one sheltered carpark to another, so why bother about the rain at all. Silly me as usual.

Hubby brought us out shopping yesterday after me nagging all the time that I am so bored at home. Well u see I am still in confinement so I should not be out at all but got approval from Grandma so no big deal ok. Anyway its not the first time I am going out during confinement. Wahaha.

We went to Chatterbox for Dinner, had their famous chicken rice, then we went to Paragon to get myself some new clothes and inner wear. Dropped 10 kg but still big but no clothes to wear. Kayla was good all the way, she took her milk and went to sleep and allowed the both of us to our shopping in peace. Hubby bought me some new tops from Dorothy Perkins. And some inner wear from Triumph. We went home happy.

Quite glad that I am coming to the end of my confinment. Now preparing the name list for sending of cakes for her 1st mth. Well I just learnt from Agnes recently that I could actually get vouchers from the bakery instead of asking them to deliver all the cakes to my place and delivering them one by one. I talked this over with Hubby and we have decided on this. All my family and friends will get vouchers and they can go collect the cake of their choice. While his famiy who is more traditional will see us at their doorstep delievering the cake, eggs and ang ku kueh to them. We wanted to have a buffet for our Baby's shower but its too much of a hassle. Hubby is never the kind who likes complications. We always prefer the easiest way out. More over, it would be a hassle to have any celebrations now as Baby is very young and she wakes up now then for her feeds or to wash her buttocks. So its better to have it nice and simple.

Ok over the weekend, My grandma and Grandaunt bought two wigs for themselves. They are really funny, I have no idea what spurred them to buy the wigs but they looked hilarious when they walked in to the house. I didnt manage to get a shot of them but later on we all tried it on in the house. And haha it sure was a funny sight.

I tried too but I looked so ugly that I didnt dare to look at myself. And I saw the foto but i aint gonna post it online at all bcoz its just totally hideous. So anyway we all tried it on and it was so funny and we all burst out luffing.

Jonath looked like a Mexican boy with it. Grandpa looked quite mad with it. And Sean looked rather cute with it. My aunt also tried it on and she looked 20 yrs older. Jonath could not bear to take it off. He messed it up abit.

And guess what the wigs were not cheap at all. It cost like $200++ a set and my grandma decided the next weekend to get it changed. She felt it didnt look natural enough so she paid another 50 bucks to get it changed. I felt this time she looked much better thou - worth the $$$. I guess to summarise it all, the peeps in fam are all so vain. They will go to extents just to get what they want to look good. And i am no exceptional. Wahaha. Now that I have given birth, I need new clothes, rebonding, some new shoes and a facial to destress. Waiting for some sponsors. Keke.

Kayla is now 13 days old. As the old folklore says, infants facial looks always changes as time goes by, it is something that we all know. And its one folklore that I believe in. Its not a myth and legend. I have witnessed Jonath's face change from the time of birth till who he is now. I have has lots of comments saying that Jonath does not have a pure chinese face but i think likewise, maybe because I see him everyday.

Thanks to all my dearest friends who have come to see me over the past days. I really appreciate all the warm wishest that you have given and all the beautiful gifts you have given me. Thanks for taking the time to visit Baby and me in the hospital and home.

Back to Kayla, her face has definately changed from birth till who she is now. She was this little grey infant at birth then she nurtured to this little pretty girl with big round eyes. Her scent is so heavenly and I wish I had the energy to cuddle her with every minute I have. Sometimes I wish my children didnt have to grow up. I would like them to be innocent and cuddle them for the longest time. My past time has been dressing her up in pink and Daddy has been talking to her and telling her all the members of the family and the different parts of the house. We have been spending all out time with her. We brought her out a couple of times **wink wink**.
Haha its confinement time and we should not be going out ok. First time was because of her check up and the second time was because of fresh air and the third time was .... secret cannot tell. And no more forth time la. Hehe.

Alright, I will share more photos in the days to come. Tata for now.

Coming back to the delivery process. Baby Kayla was born on 21 Feb 2007 at East Shore Hospital. She was born at 3.32kg to the proud parents, Kelvin and Sabrinna at 6.34 AM.

Labour process was terrible as usual just that God allowed it to be lesser number of hours this time. 10 to be exact. However, Labour is just part of the journey of our beautiful creation. Although this time there is no additional painkiller called the Epidural. Although it was so painful that my vision was blurred. Although it was painful that the ordeal went past like a flash. I would have to say I enjoyed every moment of it as I received something so beautiful which is My little girl, Kayla.

Hubby, if you ever read this, I would like to tell you that I appreciate how supportive you were to me during these ten hours of labour, how patient you have been thru out the difficult process of you know what, the hours you have been looking after baby while being absent from going out to buy in cars. Well I guess this is the way God created childbirth and parenthood. Of coz we had our bad times too but looking at our daughter, I think its all worthwhile.

Baby is 10 days old and I am also recovering now. The stitches hurt a little, everything is getting back to normal. But we are still trying to adjust to the late nights of baby getting up. In time to come, I am sure everything will be smooth sailing. :)

I was having dinner on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year with my Family at Joo Chiat - Kims. And hey presto, My water bag while we were waiting for the food. Its was quite an ordeal as my pants were soaked. I really thank my lucky stars that I was so near East Shore. Everyone stopped eating. We ate like 2 out of 6 dishes and we all went to the hospital. My make up was all on. Hubby went back immediately to take all my basic nessecities and the Baby Delivery bag. <-- Bag that had all the necessary supplies.

I was admitted at about 8.30pm on 20 Feb 2007. Hubby came back to the hospital at about 9.15 pm. He was all geared to go thru the night with me. He was very supportive thru out the night to wee hours of the next morning and even now when we are back at home. All the mid wives and even my gynae were full of praise for him. The contractions came and went, with the help of the Oxygen and hubby cracking jokes and bringing Milo in for me, the labour was a breeze from 9pm - 4am.

4 am - Pain came, the contractions were getting more frequent. I was relying so much on the mask. And i received my second jab on my thigh to ease the pain. I could feel the baby coming and I could also hear the mid wives telling my hubby that the cervix was 6 - 8 cm.

5 am - The pain was so much to handle. I could hear Hubby telling the mid wife to go ahead with the epidural. The mid wife's reply - ........ endure ..... I really could not hear a thing, I went into stages of blankness. I could hear some and not some. Everything was not impt anymore, We just wanted the safe delivery of our little girl.

6 am - Roger Heng, My gynae came and told hubby to prepare for Labour. Baby's presence was so near. I felt this funny and painful urge like to pass motion. It is actually the baby coming. Everything was blurred, I saw two same of everything around me. Labour began and before I knew it. Baby Kayla came into this world at 6.34 am. I could hear her cry and they put her into my arms for a while.

The normal cleaning and weighing process took place. They did the normal sewing for me and cleaning up. Baby was placed with me and we were wheeled to wards. They took her away from me when we pass the nursery to clean her up. Daddy was with me by the bed side. As i fell asleep because of the weariness and painkillers, i could see the strong father who was burnt out but was holding on for his family.

This sums up my Delivery process. Its a very magical moment shared between 3 people. I will always remember this day as long as I live.

Haha. This is kinda back dated. Well, as most of my dearest family and friends know.
I have just given birth to my little Princess, Miss Kayla Tay Shu Yun. She was born
the 21st of Feb 2007 (4th day of at East Shore Hospital. Dear and me are proud parents of her
and we tend to her day and night with the help of my grandma.

Back to my Chinese New Year this year, the first day was filled with the normal
visiting from my uncles and aunties. I managed to eat to my heart's content the two
nights before. The two nights before was our reunion dinners. In fact this year, I
went to 3 reunion dinners. My house, Yipoh's house and of course Grandma-in-law.
Quite hectic but at least i ate whatever there was laid out on the table. I was hoping to give birth after the cny, if i had given birth before, i would not be able to enjoy all the nice food as I would be in Confinement. Confinement means fish, ginger, meat, vege, sesame oil and all the good stuff. And Confinement means no eating this n that. So my dreams came true.

All in all, my CNY was great with the children enjoying themselves to the max.

Here are some photos that I managed to capture at Home:
